2014 Municipal Election

In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act 1996, as amended, the next Municipal Election will be held Monday, October 27, 2014.

Under the Act, the City Clerk is responsible for conducting the elections in the City of Pickering for the offices of Mayor, Regional Councillors and City Councillors.  Additionally, the City Clerk is responsible for certain aspects of the elections of members of school boards, as set out in the Education Act and associated regulations.

The Clerk's Office conducts the Election including compiling and finalizing the voters list, providing public notification of the election process, establishing voting locations, recruiting and training election officials, and tabulating and publishing the election results.

Voter Notification Cards

Voter Notification Cards for the upcoming municipal election are in the mail! If you have not received a card within the next couple of weeks, please contact the Clerk's Office at 905.420.4611.  Remember, it's your right to vote!
