Recognizing our local talent

Pickering is fortunate to have a talented community of painters, illustrators, photographers and masters of other such arts. It is our honour to exhibit their work at the Pickering Civic Complex each year - just one of the ways we demonstrate our pride and promote such deserving, local artists.
Current Artist - Laura Clayton

Pickering has a number of festivals, activities and resources that support culture and arts; many are listed below.   Review our City Services & Leisure Guide for a full description of the arts and culture programs we offer.

Take a private studio tour through the Durham West Arts Centre and get a glimpse behind the creative minds of local artists.  Visit the PineRidge Arts Council for local art resources, workshops and events, or stop into the SilverStone Gallery at 617 Liverpool Road to see original artwork by local artists and meet them in the summer during Sunday on the Porch.
