Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you're looking to put a special talent to use, or just wanting to get involved in the community - we have opportunities for you!

City volunteer opportunities include:

  • City Special Events
  • Assistant Councillor Program (youth 14 - 16 years)
  • Pickering Museum Village
  • Pickering Public Library
  • Pre-School and Youth (Teen) Programs
  • Leisure Buddies (Integration/Special Needs)
  • Youth Snow Removal Program (Criminal Reference Check not required for this volunteer program) - Teens aged 13-19 years can shovel driveways and walkways in our community during winter months for seniors or for residents in need

Please note: All volunteers will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check as part of the application process.

If you want to develop leadership skills; meet new friends, or just have some extra time, we're looking for YOU!  Complete the volunteer application form, along with 2 letters of reference, and return to the Pickering Civic Complex:

Hours Available: 4 hours per concert

Esplanade Concert Series
July 5, 12, 19, 26, August 2, 16, 23, 30
Hours Available: 4 hours per concert

Durham Festival
August 13 - 16
Hours Available: minimum 3, maximum 8 hours per day
