Purpose: City of Pickering COVID-19 Response and Recovery details

Status update on City operations and programming: 

  • Pickering City Hall (open by appointment only starting February 22 - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
  • Pickering Public Library - To reopen for limited in-person services including computer access, browsing collections, individual/group study, and printing/photocopying, beginning February 16, 2021. Curbside Service remains available at all locations. Visit pickeringlibrary.ca for the Library’s digital services and latest information.
  • Pickering Animal Shelter (staffed, but closed to the public)
  • Pickering Museum Village (closed)
  • Pickering Operations Centre (staffed, but closed to the public)
  • Brougham Hall (closed)
  •  Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex & Arena - To reopen Thursday, February 18, 2021 (Operating Hours: Weekdays - 6 am to 10 pm, Weekends - 9 am to 5 pm) All activities are required to be booked online in advance. No walk-in customers will be accepted at this time. 
  • Don Beer Arena (staff, but closed to the public)
  • Dunbarton Indoor Pool (staffed but closed to public)
  • East Shore Community Centre (staffed but closed to public)
  • George Ashe Community Centre & Library (community centre closed/Library open for curbside pickup only view details)
  • West Shore Community Centre (staff but closed to public)
  • Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson Centre & Claremont Library Branch (community centre closed/Library open for curbside pickup only view details)
  • Whitevale Community Centre (closed)
  • Whitevale Arts & Cultural Centre (closed)
  • Greenwood Community Centre (closed)
  • Mt. Zion Community Centre (closed)
