The City of Pickering is Offering New Virtual Programs

Posted on Thursday January 14, 2021

Pickering, ON, January 14, 2021 – The City of Pickering is excited to launch a new series of virtual programs that seek to ensure the lives of Pickering residents are enriched by programs and services that support active and engaging activities in our community.  The City of Pickering will be exploring opportunities to build more inclusive and accessible programs for residents throughout this pandemic.

Don’t miss the opportunity to register for our New Virtual Programs that will begin on Monday, February 8th, 2021. The City of Pickering is setting up three new virtual studios at multiple Community Centres to offer residents the chance to continue participating in their favorite recreation programs, from the safety of their own home, while we remain in lockdown. A variety of programs including dance, art, fitness and language will be offered virtually through the Zoom Platform and will be available for all age groups to participate in.

Our new programs are offered by qualified instructors who are eager to connect and bring exciting opportunities to your homes. Some programs will include supplies, and these will be purchased, and ready for your pick up prior to the start of the programs. Programs are uniquely designed for all ages and skill levels.

Take this time to learn a new language, art form, or fitness activity!

To reserve a spot for any of the New Virtual Programs, please visit to register. Registered participants will receive the program link prior to the start of the class.

We look forward to seeing you over Zoom in one of our many Virtual Programs. Follow us on Facebook @Recreation Pickering or check out our website for more information on programs and activities happening in Pickering.
