Curb Side Family Day Activity Kits

Posted on Tuesday January 26, 2021

Pickering, ON, January 26, 2021 – The City of Pickering continues to seek new initiatives which enrich Pickering Residents lives through programs and services that support active and engaging activities in our community – with some modifications for participation!

Since we cannot be together on Family Day, let us bring an activity to you! Enjoy a bag filled with fun things for your whole family to enjoy. Kits will include a family board game, family craft (with all craft supplies and instructions included), cookie decorating kit with 6 cookies, icing and decorations and a snack for the family to enjoy. Some might say, "It'll be all that and a bag of chips."

Our Family Day Activity Kits will be available for pick up on Friday, February 12th from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm at East Shore Community Centre (910 Liverpool Road).  In order to participate you will be required to register in advance at pickering.ca/active. Registration opens Monday, February 1st at 6:00 am. Be sure to reserve your kit today to avoid disappointment.  An Active Net account is required to register. If you require assistance, please call the Community Services Department at 905.420.4620, during business hours, Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Following reservation, you will receive confirmation, which enables you to pick up your activity kit. Kits are $10.00 each and are limited to one kit per family; any duplicates will be notified and removed. Please note that pre-registration is required for this program – no additional kits will be available on site and activity kits are limited.  Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. If you are not available to pick up your kit between 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm on Friday, February12th please consider registering for a future program.

On the evening of February 12th, come out and meet City staff at the back entrance of East Shore Community Centre with your confirmation. This is a great way to keep engaged with City of Pickering programs, while continuing to practice physical distancing.

We look forward to seeing you, from a distance, at East Shore Community Centre on Friday, February 12th from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm to pick up your Family Day Activity Kit!
