Pickering Museum Village has an enchanting fall line-up
Pickering, ON, September 13, 2023
Whether you’re in a spooky or enchanted mood this fall, the Pickering Museum Village has a program for your group to enjoy! ‘Pickering Fairy Tour’, ‘Pickering Ghost Walk’, and ‘Escape the Cabin’ are bestselling programs from last year, and are returning from September to October with new stories to share.
‘Pickering Fairy Tour’ is an exciting program for the whole family. Pickering's picturesque forest, village, and gardens are home to some magical creatures. Fairy lore is explored through activities on our wonderfully charming grounds, with fairy houses hiding throughout the experience. Can you find all the fairies, and learn their secrets? After seeing their world up close, you can create your very own whimsical fairy door in the Fairy Door Workshop!
‘Pickering Fairy Tour’ runs on weekends from September 9th to the 24th, with the Fairy Door Workshop happening on the same days.
Would you rather embrace your spooky side this fall? The ‘Pickering Ghost Walk’ can guarantee a spine-tingling feeling. Led through the Village by lantern-light, this tour will turn even the toughest cynic into a believer… of the supernatural! Learn about the paranormal investigations that have taken place on site, hear new stories from the Museum’s staff interactions, and uncover the tragedies that have occurred in Pickering’s past.
Alongside the spooky tours, we have a fall-time escape room lined up. ‘Escape the Cabin’ offers an immersive experience with family or friends. The year is 1837, and the Upper Canada Rebellion has failed. Is it possible to escape the cabin and reclaim your freedom before Militia comes? Will these rebels turn into prisoners? It’s all up to you!
Your only chances to participate in these exciting programs are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from September 28th to October 28th.
Tickets for all Museum events are on sale at: https://www.pickering.ca/en/discovering/pmv-whats-on.aspx or by phone at 905-683-8401.
