Purpose:  Partial closure at Rouge Beach to address rapid shoreline erosion . Effective Thursday, May 12, Parks Canada will put in place a temporary and partial closure at Rouge Beach near the mouth of the Rouge River to allow for remediation work due to increased shoreline erosion and rising water levels, which have created unstable terrain and strong currents that pose risks to visitors. Purpose:   Please note that waterfront access is currently impacted due to the construction project for Frisco Road and Waterfront Trail enhancements adjacent to the Duffin Creek Water Pollution Control Plant.
Construction work has commenced on Frisco Road and will continue through mid to late summer, followed by the waterfront trail improvements. No public access is permitted through the construction site in order to gain access to the waterfront.
