Pickering Islamic Centre


Pickering Islamic Centre has submitted an application for Zoning By-law Amendment to recognize the existing place of worship use and to permit a private school use on 2065 and 2071 Brock Road. The purpose of the application is to facilitate the construction of a three-storey, 3,162 square metre addition on the north side of the existing building. A two-level parking deck is also proposed at the site’s northeast corner.

Planning Act Requirements

This application has been deemed complete in accordance with the Planning Act.

If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Pickering before the City of Pickering gives approval or refusal of the Zoning By-law Amendment the person or public body:

i)   is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal; and,

ii)  may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decisions you must make a written request to the City Clerk.  All submissions shall include the full name and address of the presenter.
