The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) in partnership with the City of Pickering has completed the Environmental Study Report for the Amberlea Creek Erosion Control Project.
The purpose of the project is to provide long-term protection against slope instability and channel erosion within Amberlea Creek, in an effort to reduce the risk to public safety, and prevent future property damage. The project meets the requirements of Section 5(3) of the Environmental Assessment Act by following the planning, consultation and design process of Conservation Ontario's Class Environmental Assessment for Remedial Flood and Erosion Control Projects (January 2002, as amended in June 2013).
As per Section 18.104.22.168 of the Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) document the Environmental Study Report is available for the 30-day review period on the TRCA website.
Printed copies of the Environmental Study Report are also available for public viewing at the following locations:
