Parks and Sports Field Amenities

See status of outdoor recreational amenities below (in accordance with the new provincial public health measures).

What's open?

  • off-leash dog parks and parking lot
  • public parking lots 
  • outdoor washroom facilities at Beachfront Park, Linton House, Centennial Park, Brockridge Park, Dunmoore Park, David Farr Memorial Park, and Kinsmen Park (open 8 am - 9 pm)
  • portable toilets located at Beachpoint Promenade, Village East Park, Shadybrook Park, Mapleridge Park, Progress Park, Valleyview Park, Alex Robertson, Dunmoore Park, Forestbrook Park, Beverley Morgan Park, Kinsmen Park South, Southcott Park, Woodsmere Park, Greenwood Park, Don Beer Memorial park, Major Oaks Park and Creekside Park
  • pickleball court, skateboard park, public tennis courts, and basketball courts 
  • splash pads at Waterfront Park, Amberlea Park, and Foxtail Green Park
  • changerooms at Bayridges Kinsmen Park (for park permit holders only) - beginning July 16, 2021

Playground Structures and Park Amenities 

Playgrounds remain open. Please note that Pickering’s play equipment will not be sanitized - remember to follow public health measures, practice physical distancing from those outside of your household, and use safely.

Facility permits

  • Permits for private events at City facilities are available effective July 16, 2021.
  • Please email facilitybooking@pickering.ca for parks and facility booking related inquiries.
  • Library room bookings remain unavailable at this time. 

Sports Fields Permits 

  • Outdoor sports fields are open and are available for permitting for training or practice purposes only. Please contact facilitybooking@pickering.ca or 905.420.4660 ext. 3293.
