The City of Pickering has implemented a Property Tax Deferral Program to assist residential property owners that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

If your application is approved, the property taxes that are due on February 24, 2021 and April 28, 2021 will be deferred to the end of May.

Requirements:

  • You are the owner of a residential property in Pickering
  • Provide verifiable documentation to demonstrate financial hardship related directly to the COVID-19 pandemic through prolonged suspension of pay, reduction in pay, or loss of employment
  • The property taxes must have been fully paid up to date (no arrears) at some point in time between February 29, 2020 and April 30, 2021.

How To Apply

To apply, please fill out the application form and submit it to the City along with your supporting documents.

You can fill out the online form, attach your supporting documents, and then submit online, or print out the form and send it along with your supporting documents to the City by email or mail.
