The City of Pickering has implemented a Property Tax Deferral Program to assist residential property owners that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

If your application is approved, the property taxes that are due on April 25, 2022, June 28, 2022, and September 28, 2022 will be deferred to October 28, 2022.


  • You are the owner of a residential property in Pickering
  • Provide verifiable documentation to demonstrate financial hardship related directly to the COVID-19 pandemic through prolonged suspension of pay, reduction in pay, or loss of employment
  • The property taxes must have been fully paid up to date as of January 30, 2022.

To apply, please fill out the application form and submit it to the City along with your supporting documents.

You can fill out the online form, attach your supporting documents and submit online, or print out the form and send it along with your supporting documents to the City by mail or by email.
