Applications (City File Numbers SP-2023-03 and A 11/23) for approval of a Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning By-law Amendment have been submitted by Caplink Limited to facilitate an extension of an approved food manufacturing facility located on Phase 1 lands to the east. The Phase 2 manufacturing facility consists of 6 buildings, including four manufacturing plants, freezer storage, distribution centre and logistics.

The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision contains six blocks for employment uses, one block for a stormwater management facility, one block for a future road widening and public roads. The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the lands to an appropriate zone category to permit the proposed uses and establish appropriate development standards. 

In accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act, these applications are deemed to be complete applications.

If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Pickering before the City of Pickering gives approval or refusal of the Zoning By-law Amendment, the person or public body:

i)   is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council to the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal; and,

ii)  may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decisions you must make a written request to the City Clerk.  All submissions shall include the full name and address of the presenter.
