Applications (City File Numbers SP-2009-11(R2) and A 08/23) for a red-line revision to an approved Draft Plan of Subdivision (file SP-2009-11), and a Zoning By-law Amendment have been submitted by Mattamy (Seaton) Limited.

The proposed red-line revisions to the approved Draft Plan of Subdivision are located north of Kerrydale Avenue, and the east and west sides of the proposed Peter Matthews Drive.  The revised draft plan includes a mix of lots and blocks for residential uses (approximately 651 dwelling units), one elementary school block, one village green block, one neighbourhood park part block, and new public streets. The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the subject lands to implement the proposed revisions to the draft plan of subdivision.

If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Pickering before the City of Pickering gives approval or refusal of the Zoning By-law Amendment and/or Official Plan Amendment, the person or public body:

i)   is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal; and,

ii)  may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
