Development Charges Study & By-law
Description The Development Charges Background Study will document information justifying the amount of the City's Development Charges for development in the Seaton community. A By-law is passed by Council to enact the charge.

Status Council authorized hiring of consultant in May 2008
Other Comments Study commencement awaiting information from the results of various studies including: the Pickering Fiscal Impact Analysis; the Master Environmental Servicing Plan; and the Seaton Neighbourhood Planning Review.

 

The Region of Durham is also required to prepare a Development Charges Background Study and by-law to identify the Regional Development Charges for Seaton.

 

The City is also required to prepare an update to it's existing Development Charge By-law.
