The City Development Department has received applications for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment submitted by Sunrise International Investment Inc. The applicant is proposing to redevelop the subject lands for a private membership Golf Club comprised of the following components:

  • a 9 hole golf course
  • a 1,294.5 square metre clubhouse with a lounge, banquet and amenity space
  • a 6,088 square metre golf dome, equipped with a driving range, virtual golf stimulators and amenity spaces
  • a 213 square metre addition to an existing maintenance structure.

Planning Act Requirements

This application has been deemed complete in accordance with the Planning Act.

If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Pickering before the City of Pickering gives approval or refusal of the Zoning By-law Amendment, the person or public body:

i)   is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council to the Land Planning Appeal Tribunal; and,

ii)  may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Land Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
