Proposal

An application (City File A06/23) to amend the Seaton Zoning By-law 7364/14, as amended, has been submitted by Taccgate Developments Inc. for the lands located on the north and south sides of Taunton Road between Sideline 24 / Burkholder Drive and Peter Mathews Drive, and east of Peter Mathews Drive, within the Lamoreaux Neighbourhood in the Seaton Community. 

In accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act, this is a complete application (see Notice of Complete Application).

The lands are identified as Sites A, B and C.   Descriptions of the three proposals are outlined below: 

Site A:

  • proposing 387 townhouses units (comprising of back-to-back, block, and rear-lane townhouses)
  • a block for a mixed use apartment building containing approximately 436 units

Site B:

  • proposing 206 townhouse units (comprising of back-to back, block, and live-work townhouses)
  • a block for an apartment building containing approximately 250 units

Site C:

  • 138 townhouse units (comprising of back-to-back and block townhouses)
  • A block for an apartment building containing approximately 250 units

Planning Act Requirements

This application has been deemed complete in accordance with the Planning Act.

If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Pickering before the City of Pickering gives approval or refusal of the Zoning By-law Amendment, the person or public body:

i)   is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council to the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal; and,

ii)  may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decisions you must make a written request to the City Clerk.  All submissions shall include the full name and address of the presenter.
