Culture Days

Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. At the end of each September, millions of people attend thousands of free participatory arts and culture events across the country. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities. In light of COVID-19, this year’s celebrations have again been extended to a 4-week run held indoors, outdoors and online. Read through Culture Days 2021 page to find out more about this year’s festivities or to register your own culture days activity.

The Caribbean Dance movement provides an exhilarating sweat to the sweet, energizing sounds of beautiful Caribbean music. It seamlessly combines Cardio, Choreography and Core work into a fun and high-energy experience. Once the participants have warmed up and are invigorated, they will move into a HITT body style workout that allows participants to focus on strength building and muscle development. To cool down, participants will be guided through a number of yoga-type stretches which will help bring the body to a restful state and prepares them to immerse themselves into a guided meditation. The guided mediation will encourage participants to focus on their breath and invites them to practice pausing during these uncertain times.
