There is so much to explore at the Pickering Museum Village. We offer a number of tours, programs and workshops to get you on your way!
Discover the options available for members of the public:
Interpretive Public Tours
During the regular operating season, guests will enjoy interpretation by costumed staff and volunteers at each of PMV's heritage buildings and gardens. Learn about Pickering's past, from early settlement to 1920 as you move through the site in a multi-sensory tour that promises to be memorable. Do you have children in your group? Ask about signing out a History Mystery Kit full of puzzles, artifact activities, games, and a special mystery to solve as you enjoy your tour.
Can't make it to the Village? We will come to you! Our various outreach programs are designed for groups of 20 people or more. These Heritage-to-Go programs are adaptable and suitable for life-long learners of all ages and interest.
Our knowledgeable costumed interpreters offer group tours for groups of 12 people and up. These tours are available between April and December and must be booked in advance. A variety of themes are available for life-long learners of all ages and interests.
Our staff and volunteers offer a variety of workshops specially designed for children and adults. These are offered seasonally or by appointment or pre-registration; please see our Leisure Guide for information on workshops, and Summer Solstice or Harvest Suppers.
