Welcome to Pickering's waterfront backyard. Located just minutes from our emerging, modern downtown, this is the perfect lakeside refuge for those wanting to escape the city pace.

A social atmosphere of boaters, laughing children and live entertainment make this the perfect spot to reconnect with family and friends over summertime play. Relax on one of our sandy beaches, or take an autumn stroll through the miles of colourful trails that hug the sandy shoreline. Whatever the season, the natural beauty of Pickering's waterfront is waiting for you.

Sitting on the shores of Lake Ontario, Pickering's waterfront provides not only spectacular scenery, but countless recreational and business opportunities.

Some of the region's best surfing and kite boarding can be done here where the lake also boasts a bay, divided by a barrier beach providing the perfect winds and waves for such sports.

Frenchman's Bay

Frenchman's Bay is one of a series of large coastal wetlands along the north shore of Lake Ontario, home to a diversity of vegetation communities and labelled an Environmentally Significant Area by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.
