Connect
A vibrant City Centre is a highly walkable, connected space, offering different opportunities to get to and around for those who live, work, and visit here. Our vision is to create an integrated pedestrian, cycling and transit network that is safe, comfortable and intuitive.
The Province of Ontario has identified Pickering's City Centre as both an Urban Growth Centre and Mobility Hub. As such, a number of exciting projects have been in the works to make connecting with your favourite City Centre attractions simple and convenient.
The enclosed pedestrian bridge spans 14 lanes of Canada's busiest Highway, Highway 401, and provides a safe and sheltered commute for pedestrians and cyclists, connecting Pickering's GO Transit Station and beautiful waterfront to our burgeoning City Centre.
Furthermore, the Pickering GO Transit Station recently completed a five level parking structure, offering up an additional 1200 parking spaces, ultimately providing a total of 1700 parking spots for users.

The accessible location, which also has direct access to major highways, offers graduate certificate and continuing education programs, perfect for commuters who wish to remain close to home.
