See below for the status of our 7 natural outdoor ice rinks.
Please note that the ground must be frozen and the weather must remain below -4º (24ºF) for several consecutive days before attempting to build ice, and the entire rink must be completely frozen in order to ensure the safety of the public and be open for use.

Please note that rink status is updated during regular business hours of Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please follow on-site rink signage outside of business hours.

- Claremont Memorial Park (full rink size) - (9 am to 11 pm) CLOSED
- Greenwood Park (80 x 150 ft) - (9 am to 11 pm) CLOSED
- Whitevale Park (40 x 93 ft, not fenced) - (9 am to 5 pm) CLOSED
- New - Centennial Park, under the picnic shelter (35 x 65 ft) - (9 am to 5 pm) CLOSED
- New - Frenchman’s Bay Rate Payers Memorial Park (55 x 65 ft) - (9 am to 5 pm) CLOSED
Each rink is fenced and secured, with picnic tables and garbage cans in range.
Health and safety: All outdoor rinks are for leisure skating only. No hockey, ringette or other sports will be permitted on the rinks.
Our rinks are inspected daily. If the ice surface is deemed to be unsafe (i.e.: ice not yet established or thick enough, thawing conditions), the rink will be signed and posted as closed on this web page.
City staff will aim to clear the snow from the rinks after each weather event but please note that road and sidewalk winter control operations will take priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
