Pre-teen Social

School's out!  Start summer with friends and a night of social fun, music, games, dancing, and more! All tickets will include a slice of pizza and a drink.

Students must be in Grades 5, 6, 7 or 8 to attend. Tickets on sale now!


Ticket Information

Get tickets online at pickering.ca/active

  • Tickets must be purchased online
  • Tickets go on sale two weeks before each scheduled dance, starting at 9:00 am.
  • Tickets are $14.00 each, and are limited to 5 per customer/household. 
  • Tickets can be purchased until 7:00 pm on the date of each dance, while quantities last.
  • Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.

Present your printed receipt with QR code (or show it on your mobile device) at the entrance doors before the dance for validation and admittance to the Pre-Teen Dance.


 

Important Information about your ticket
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Protect your ticket/receipt with QR Code in a safe and secure place.
  • Each QR code can only be used once - allowing only one entry.
  • Present your printed receipt with QR code at the entrance doors before the dance for validation and admittance to the Pre-Teen Dance.
  • Do not buy a ticket from any other source other than pickering.ca/active as you will not be able to verify that the ticket is valid.
  • Unauthorized duplication or sale of this ticket will prevent your admittance to the City of Pickering Pre-Teen Dance.
  • The City of Pickering is not responsible for any inconvenience caused by unauthorized duplication, and reserves the right to deny admission.
  • The City of Pickering is not responsible for any lost, stolen, misplaced, damaged or duplicate tickets.
  • Failure to comply with the rules may prevent you access to the Pre-Teen Dance or expulsion.
Code of Conduct 

The City of Pickering Staff are committed to creating a fun, safe, and social experience for YOUth.

You have a right to expect that:

  • You will be treated in a consistent, and courteous manner by all City of Pickering Staff at all times.
  • You will enjoy the dance experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language and/or gestures
  • If you do not follow the Code of Conduct your parents will be called and you will be removed from the dance immediately. At the discretion of City Staff you may be banned for the rest of the year.

The City of Pickering and Staff have a right to expect that you will:

  • Respect, and follow direction of City Staff at all times.
  • Respect City of Pickering property. Acts of vandalism or theft will be dealt with immediately.
  • Not have on your person any type of weapon / toy weapon, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or lighters.
  • Not use threatening, swearing, trash talk, play fighting, fighting, bullying, and/or other inappropriate behavior.
  • Not engage in moshing, breakdancing, handstands, running, pushing and shoving, or sitting/laying on the dance floor.
  • Dance in an appropriate manner respecting yourself and each other.

Pre-Teen Dance Dress Code:

  • Clothing that does not show the midriff and/or chest.
  • No undergarments showing.
  • No Bandanas, do-rags, or hoods.

If you can’t wear it at school, you can’t wear it to the dance or you will be required to go home and change.

Please note: Backpacks and hooded sweatshirts (hoodies) will not be permitted into the dance area.
