The City of Pickering is undertaking a comprehensive Housing Strategy Study that will provide a framework to ensure the City enables a supply of suitable, adequate and affordable housing for the present and future residents of Pickering. The Housing Strategy Study will focus on the need for delivering a diverse range of housing options, including affordable and accessible units to accommodate residents of all ages, abilities and income levels.

Due to COVID-19 and the Premier’s Emergency Order to limit gatherings and maintain physical distancing, the City of Pickering is hosting an Electronic Public Open House. At the meeting, staff will present the Draft Housing Strategy and Action Plan, and interested parties will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. Details of the Electronic Open House Meeting are as follows:

Email your questions to if you are unavailable to attend the Open House Meeting or if you would like to provide feedback at any time during the Housing Strategy Study. Comments on the Draft Housing Strategy and Action Plan are requested by midnight, Thursday, May 6, 2021.
