Caplink Limited


Caplink Limited has submitted applications for a Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning By-law Amendment to facilitate a food manufacturing facility consisting of five buildings, including four manufacturing plants and one distribution centre.  The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision contains four blocks for the employment uses, one block for a stormwater management facility, one block for a natural heritage feature, one block for a future road widening and a new public street (see Concept Plan).  The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the lands to an appropriate zone category to permit the proposed uses and establishing appropriate development standards.

If a person or public body does not make an oral submission at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Pickering before the City of Pickering gives approval or refusal of the Zoning By-law Amendment, the person or public body:

i)   is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council to the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal; and,

ii)  may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

If you wish to be notified of the decisions you must make a written request to the City Clerk.  All submissions shall include the full name and address of the presenter.
