Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson Community Centre

On June 11, 2016,  the Claremont Community Centre was renamed in honour of Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson, a long-time Claremont resident and community physician. Dr. Tomlinson was an active community leader, whose actions were instrumental in the creation of the first Claremont school, community centre, park and public library.

The Community Room

    80 people for social gatherings and 100 people for seminars and meetings

The Gymnasium

The George Ashe Community Centre has 3 spaces to choose from:

  • Paris & Franklin Rooms:
    capacity is 150 for social gatherings and 199 for seminars & meetings. 
  • Russel Franklin Room:
    capacity is 70 for social gatherings and 100 for seminars & meetings. 
  • Helen Paris Room:
    capacity is 70 for social gatherings & 99 for seminars & meetings.
