Notice of Heat Alert with Extended Public Swim Times

Notice of Heat Alert Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex is a designated Cooling Centre with Extended Public Swim Times

Purpose: When the Region of Durham Board of Health issues a Heat Warning, the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex (CHDRC) will be a designated Cooling Centre and public swim times are extended.

Duration: Saturday, August 9, 2025 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025

While a Heat Warning is in effect, Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex will be a designated 
Cooling Centre and public swim times are extended.

CHDRC Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday – 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Extending public swim times:
Monday to Friday – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday to Sunday – 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Extra seating and water will be available in the lobby. Leashed pets are welcome in the lobby provided they are well controlled by their owner.
