Notice of Temporary Road Closures (Esplanade North and South)

The City of Pickering will be hosting the Pickering Food Truck Festival from Friday, August 8, 2025 to Sunday, August 10, 2025.

In order to ensure a safe, functional, and enjoyable event, the City of Pickering will be enacting temporary traffic management controls in the area which may impact adjacent residents and businesses.

The Esplanade North and The Esplanade South will be temporarily closed to facilitate the Pickering Food Truck Festival.

Purpose: Pickering Food Truck Festival

Duration: Traffic controls will be in effect from Thursday, August 7, 2025 - 7:00 am to Monday, August 11, 2025 – 7:00 am

The Esplanade North – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the Civic Complex underground parking ramp on Thursday, August 7, 2025 – 7:00 am to Monday, August 11, 2025 – 7:00 am. The sidewalk on the south side of The Esplanade North will not be accessible during the closure. 

The Esplanade South – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the Pickering Civic Complex outbound parking lot driveway on Thursday, August 7, 2025 – 7:00 am to Monday, August 11, 2025 – 7:00 am. Both sidewalks will not be accessible on The Esplanade South during the closure. 

Additional Temporary Accessible Parking – will be available on the south side of The Esplanade North from Valley Farm Road to the Civic Complex underground parking ramp, and on a portion of the east side of Glenanna Road (south of The Esplanade South) from Thursday, August 7, 2025 -7:00 am to Monday August 11, 2025 – 7:00 am.
