Notice of Temporary Traffic Measures for the Santa Claus Parade

Purpose:
2025 Santa Claus Parade

Duration:
Friday, November 21, 2025 at 4:00 pm to Saturday, November 22, 2025 at  1:00 pm (parade starts at 10:00 am)

The City of Pickering will be hosting the Santa Claus Parade with the assistance of the Durham
Regional Police Services. The parade route will travel along Glenanna Road from Dixie Road to
the The Shops at Pickering City Centre (formerly Pickering Town Centre).

In order to ensure a safe, functional and enjoyable event, and to ensure emergency access at all
times, the City will be enacting temporary traffic measures in the area along the parade route.

Temporary Parking Restrictions: Friday, November 21, 2025 – 4:00 pm to Saturday, November 22, 2025 – 1:00 pm
• Dixie Road – from Kingston Road to Finch Avenue – both sides
• The Esplanade South – full street – both sides
• Glenanna Road – from Dixie Road to Pickering Parkway – both sides
Temporary Parking Restrictions
Saturday, November 22, 2025 – 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Culross Avenue, no parking on the north side – full street
• Foleyet Crescent, no parking on the west side – full street
• Listowell Crescent, no parking on the east side – full street
• Storrington Street, no parking on the east side – Listowell Crescent to Glenanna Road
• Rambleberry Avenue, no parking on the north side – Longbow Drive to Dixie Road
• Silverthorn Square, no parking on both sides – Dixie Road to Deerbrook Drive
• Deerbrook Drive, no parking on the west side – Silverthorn Square to Glenanna Road
• Rawlings Drive, no parking on the west side – full street

Temporary Road Closures: Saturday, November 22, 2025 – 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Dixie Road from Rambleberry Avenue to Silverthorn Square
• Glenanna Road from Deerbrook Drive to Listowell Crescent
• Walnut Lane from Foleyet Crescent (north leg) to Glenanna Road
• Glenanna Road from Listowell Crescent to Pickering Parkway – this closure will be from 9:00
am to 1:00 pm
• Kingston Road – between Valley Farm Road and Liverpool Road – this closure will occur as the
parade passes Kingston Road, approximately 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Temporary Parking Restrictions: Saturday, November 22, 2025 – 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Culross Avenue, no parking on the north side – full street
• Foleyet Crescent, no parking on the west side – full street
• Listowell Crescent, no parking on the east side – full street
• Storrington Street, no parking on the east side – Listowell Crescent to Glenanna Road
• Rambleberry Avenue, no parking on the north side – Longbow Drive to Dixie Road
• Silverthorn Square, no parking on both sides – Dixie Road to Deerbrook Drive
• Deerbrook Drive, no parking on the west side – Silverthorn Square to Glenanna Road
• Rawlings Drive, no parking on the west side – full street

Temporary access to the parade route area will be provided to area residents and businesses prior to
the start of the parade. No vehicle access will be permitted in or out along the parade route during the
parade.

Additionally, the front turning circle at the Pickering Civic Complex will be closed from approximately 8:00
am to 1:00 pm.

To ensure public safety, and that all temporary traffic measures are adhered to, Durham Regional
Police Services, as well as Municipal Law Enforcement Services will be on-site during the event.
