Pickering is transforming itself to a more sustainable city. A key component of this transformation is collecting and tracking data that informs the community on this progress. This is the third report completed on measuring sustainability in our community.

2017 Measuring Sustainability Report CoverThe 2017 Measuring Sustainability Report outlines the progress on existing indicators, and introduces new indicators reflecting the evolving sustainability objectives in our community. There are a total of 52 indicators, which are grouped into 5 sections:

  • Healthy Environment
  • Healthy Economy
  • Healthy Society
  • Responsible Development
  • Responsible Consumption

The Report also describes the efforts of the City and many community partners to positively impact the indicators, and tips on how you can contribute towards a more sustainable Pickering.

If you have any questions or to request a print copy, please contact the Coordinator, Sustainability. The report is also available for loan through the Pickering Public Library.
