Property Tax Certificates

A property tax certificate is a legal document showing the status of a property tax account.

Tax certificates are issued to:

• Lawyers
• Property owners, with proof of identity
• Individuals with power of attorney documentation

Regular Service

A regular tax certificate costs $80.00 per roll number and is mailed within 5 to 7 days of receiving the written request.

Rush Service

Rush service is also available. For $96.00 per roll number, the City will fax or email the tax certificate to your office within 24 hours of receiving the written request. The original copy will follow by mail.

Important Notes

All requests must include the full legal description.

Verbal tax information is not provided before the certificate is issued. The tax department can provide a verbal update for up to 3 months after issuance; after that, a new certificate is required.
