You can help remind the public to slow down and be aware of children at play by displaying a “Slow Down” lawn sign on your property from April 1 to November 30.

These signs can be placed on your property, and remind road users to drive carefully, and slow down when travelling on residential streets.

Where and when can I place the sign?
  • Place on private property, using the provided wire stake, with the consent of the property owner
  • Within the Campaign Period of April 1 – November 30; after which the signs must be removed by the installer
Where can’t the sign be placed?
  • Within the travelled portion of a roadway, boulevard, medians, traffic island, sidewalk, bicycle path, multi-use path or trail
  • Within a drainage ditch, on fences, on trees, or on streetlight or hydro poles
  • Within 3 metres of a fire hydrant
  • Anywhere the signs will create a sightline obstruction for pedestrians, cyclists, or motorists
