The City of Pickering is proud to support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, reaffirming its commitment to creating inclusive, safe, and welcoming spaces and services for everyone.

About the Program

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program supports individuals with hidden or non-visible disabilities by providing a simple, discreet way to indicate that they may require additional assistance.

By wearing the Sunflower symbol, or by approaching staff who display an ally Sunflower lanyard, individuals can signal that they may need extra time, understanding, or support when accessing information or services in public spaces.

Customers can request a Sunflower symbol (pin, lanyard, or waterproof wristband), free of charge, in person at the City’s Customer Care counter, by email, or by telephone at: 905.683.7575, beginning the first week of December.
