The City of Pickering has completed the Claremont Drainage Plan Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze the existing drainage system and to assess alternative solutions to reduce localized surface flooding within the Hamlet of Claremont.
The study was conducted in accordance with the Master Plan process as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association’s, Municipal Class EA (October 2000, amended 2007, 2011 and 2015).
All preferred alternative solutions identified as elements of the Master Plan fall within Schedule A/A+ undertakings. All Schedule A+ projects will require additional public notification prior to implementation.
