The City of Pickering hosts facility tours for groups interested in meeting Mayor and Members of Council and/or seeking information on municipal government, programs and services.
The following conditions must be met before a tour can be approved:
- the request for a facility tour must be received by the City of Pickering, preferably in writing, at least two weeks in advance
- individuals required to participate in the tour (i.e. staff from the appropriate department, elected representatives, external partners) are available for the time required
- funding or resources must be accommodated through existing budgets and must not result in an additional financial burden to the City
Note: where a request for a facility tour does not meet the criteria and mandatory requirements, approval from the Chief Administrative Officer is required.
