Pickering Fire Services invites community members to celebrate Sparky the Fire Dog’s birthday with a fun-filled event on Friday, March 20 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Pickering Fire Headquarters (1700 Zents Drive).
Ontario Power Generation (OPG), in partnership with Durham Region Health Department and Toronto Emergency Management, will provide residents living within 10 kilometres of the Pickering and Darlington nuclear generating stations with replacement potassium iodide (KI) pills. These pills will replace those distributed in 2015, which are set to expire in 2027.

The City of Pickering is preparing for extreme cold and heavy snowfall this weekend. City crews will be clearing roads and sidewalks in priority sequence in accordance with established winter maintenance standards.
