Take Notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering passed By-law No. 8262/26 to adopt Amendment 54 to the Pickering Official Plan on May 20, 2026. Council approved the text amendment to the Pickering Official Plan set out in Amendment 54 and the passage of this By-law is the implementation of that approval.

These applications have been delegated to the Director, City Development & CBO for decision. Members of the public may submit written comments by email to City Development. An electronic Committee of Adjustment Hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Members of the public may participate electronically in the hearing to provide verbal comments to the Committee of Adjustment by registering as a delegation.

The City of Pickering has retained Aquafor Beech Ltd. to update the 2009 Frenchman’s Bay 
Watersheds Stormwater Management Master Plan. The updated Master Plan will help ensure the 
stormwater system continues to support community safety, environmental protection, and long-term 
climate resilience. A drop-in Public Information Centre will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, O’Brien Rooms A & B.

The Stormwater Management Facility K-16 construction project, located within the Krosno Creek watershed, was identified in the 2009 Frenchman’s Bay Watersheds Stormwater Management Master Plan as an opportunity to improve water quality control. The purpose of the facility is to provide the highest level of stormwater treatment achievable within the limits of the available area. A Public Information Centre will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. 

The next Municipal Election will be held on October 26, 2026. Individuals interested in filing their nomination must do so in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (the “Act”).
