The whirlpool at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex will be closed to allow for plumbing maintenance work on Friday, July 3, 2026 beginning at 6:00 am and will reopen at 5:00 pm.
The City of Pickering will be hosting Canada Day festivities on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable event, and to ensure full emergency access, the City will be enacting temporary road closures and parking restrictions in the area of Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park and Alex Robertson Park.
Purpose: Canada Day Celebration – Kinsmen Park
Duration: Wednesday, July 1, 2026, 6:00 pm to midnight
The City of Pickering will be hosting the daytime Canada Day festivities on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in The Esplanade Park. In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable event, the City will be enacting temporary road closures in the area.
Purpose: Canada Day Celebration – The Esplanade Park
Duration: Tuesday, June 30, 2026 – 7:00 am to Wednesday, July 1, 2026 – 9:00 pm
The temporary road closure of Glenanna Road and the east sidewalk from the north limit of The Esplanade North to the entrance of the Health Services Centre, approximately 100 metres south of Kingston Road. In addition, the west sidewalk of Glenanna Road from Pickering Parkway to The Esplanade South will remain closed. Both vehicle and pedestrian detours have been provided, and all applicable signage will be posted.
Purpose: To facilitate the Installation of the Region of Durham’s watermain.
Duration: Monday, June 29, 2026 to Thursday, July 2, 2026
