Kingston Road RR2 from 52 m northeast of Walnut Lane to 37 m southwest of Walnut Lane - Lane(s) Closed

The Region of Durham is advising residents of upcoming turn-lane closures on Kingston Road (Regional Road 2) in the City of Pickering.

Where: Both the eastbound and westbound turn lanes on Kingston Road (Regional Road 2) heading south onto Walnut Lane will be closed to traffic.

Duration: April 14 to July 31, 2025

Purpose: To safely install a new watermain, sanitary sewer and storm sewer on Walnut Lane to support development. The City of Pickering is also closing Walnut Lane for construction, which affects the turn lanes on Kingston Road.

Through lanes on Kingston Road will remain open and will be unaffected. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete construction as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
