City-wide fire ban implemented on July 14, 2026 has been lifted
The City-wide burn ban implemented on July 14, 2026 was lifted on July 22, 2026.
What does this mean?
- All agricultural burn permits are now valid (in accordance with permit conditions).
- Chimineas, bonfires, and wood-burning appliances remain prohibited in Pickering.
The burn ban was implemented due to prolonged high temperatures and to support the ongoing safety of our community.
