Council Chambers

The Council Chambers at City Hall have been undergoing extensive renovations in 2026.  As part of this work, staff were directed to commission local artist Dorsey James to create a sculpture for the chambers.   

Dorsey provided three options for the sculpture and the public was encouraged to vote for their favorite during Artfest in 2025. The public vote counted as one vote within the public art jury meeting held to select the final artwork. 

The sculpture entitled Je Me Souviens, will be installed in the newly renovated chambers later this year.
