Notice of Heat Alert - CHDRC is a designated Cooling Centre

Purpose: When the Region of Durham Board of Health issues a Heat Warning, the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex will be a designated Cooling Centre

Duration: Tuesday, June 30, 2026 – Saturday, July 4, 2026 inclusive

While a Heat Warning is in effect, Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex will be a designated Cooling Centre.

Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday – 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Please be advised that Recreation Complex is closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. 

Extra seating and water will be available in the lobby. Leashed pets are welcome providing they are well controlled by their owner.
