The City of Pickering is holding an Open House and a Statutory Public Meeting under the Planning Act. The purpose of these meetings is to provide interested parties the ability to learn more about the proposal and provide any comments and feedback before any decisions are made on the above noted application.

Statutory Public Meeting under the Planning Act

The meeting will be livestreamed and available on the HTML Agenda or the archived video available on the City's website at events.pickering.ca/council.
Please note that although this meeting is scheduled for 7:00 pm, this matter could be delayed due to Committee’s consideration of preceding agenda items.

Make a Delegation
Should you wish to make a verbal delegation with respect to this matter during the Statutory Public Meeting, please visit pickering.ca/spm and complete the online delegation request form or email clerks@pickering.ca.
Virtual delegations must register by 12:00 pm noon on the last business day before the scheduled meeting. Once your request has been received, confirmation will be provided to you by the Clerk’s Office which will include the details of the delegation process.

Proposal
To amend the Pickering Official Plan to bring it in conformity with the Planning Act by:
- recognizing the delegated authority from the Region to the City to hear consent applications;
- replacing the requirement for mandatory pre-consultation meetings between an Applicant and City staff, prior to the formal submission of a development application, with policy language that encourages pre-consultation meetings, making it voluntary;
- revising the Parkland Dedication policies; and,
- removing the Density Bonusing policies.

The Proposed Amendment will be available on the City’s website at www.pickering.ca on or after August 18, 2025.
