Notice of Temporary Closures 2026 Ribfest Event

The Pickering Rotary Club, in cooperation with the City of Pickering will be hosting the Rotary Ribfest event from Friday, June 19, 2026 to Sunday June 21, 2026. 

The City of Pickering will be enacting temporary closures from Tuesday, June 16, 2026 to Monday, June 22, 2026 for the event.  

Purpose:  2026 Ribfest Event  

Duration: Tuesday, June 16, 2026 – 7:00 am to Monday, June 22, 2026 – 12:00 pm 

Pickering Civic Complex Parking Lot – the Pickering Civic Complex parking lot will be closed on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 7:00 am. The parking lot will re-open on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 7:00 
am. 

The Esplanade South – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to Glenanna Road on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 7:00 am to Monday, June 22, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Both sidewalks on The Esplanade South will not be accessible during the closure. At 7:00 am the closure of The Esplanade South will move east of the Civic Complex Parking Lot to partially re-open the road and allow eastbound access to the Pickering Civic Complex Parking Lot. The Esplanade South will fully re-open at 12:00 pm. 

Glenanna Road – will be closed from Pickering Parkway to The Esplanade South from Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 7:00 am to Monday, June 22, 2026 at 7:00 am. Glenanna Road is currently closed due to construction between The Esplanade South and The Esplanade North. 

The Esplanade North – will have temporary parking restrictions on both sides of the street from Valley Farm Road to the Pickering Civic Complex underground parking ramp from Friday, June 19, 2026, at 7:00 am to Monday, June 22, 2026, at 7:00 am.  

Temporary Accessible Parking – will be available on a portion of the north side of Diefenbaker Court from Friday, June 19, 2026, at 7:00 am to Monday, June 22, 2026, at 7:00 am. 

Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex Gravel Parking Lot - will be closed on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 7:00 am to Monday, June 22, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
