We have relocated for 2022! We are officially opening our season this Tuesday, June 14 ... we can't wait to see you there.

Find us nestled in the North East parking lot at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex at 1867 Valley Farm Road. The Pickering City Centre Farmers’ Market will continue it’s tradition of running a unique outdoor community market.

Happening every Tuesday starting from June 14th to October 4th, 2022 between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm. Come out and enjoy fresh produce, baked goods, meats and more in the heart of our City Centre.

June 14 - Pickering Blooms Giveaway Day

The first 200 visitor's to the market that register for Pickering Blooms will be given a free gardening starter kit. Pickering Blooms

Ron Beer will be performing live at the market between 10 am - 1 pm.  Ron is a multi-talented individual, whose skills fall under several areas, including martial arts, song writing, musical performance, book publications, online seminars in Shoot Wrestling, music teaching, song writing as well as mentoring. June 21 - Recognize our Community & Service Group Day

  • The Community Food Box - initially started up in response to the pandemic, but has continued on bringing local and fresh food to those in our community who are faced with barriers in accessing food and food security. As the restrictions of the pandemic eased up, they started to notice that aside from the pandemic there was still a need for accessing food and food security within the community. From there, the food box program grew and developed into what it is today. Based on client feedback, they have been able to refigure the program from providing one generic food box to instead having 2 new food box options, the Pantry Essentials food box and the Fresh food box.   • Girl Guides of Canadais a place where girls can have fun together with new friends. From scavenger hunts and science experiments to sharing dance moves and exploring her community, she can try whatever it is that sounds fun to her at Girl Guides. Registration is now open for the 2022-2023 guiding year.   • Canadian Progress Club, Durham Region WomenThe Canadian Progress Club is committed to strengthening our communities through hands-on service and fundraising, to benefit those in need. The Durham Region Women’s Chapter contributes year-round to our community. They are collecting for "Purses for Progress" from June 1 to July 8. Donations of new or gently used purses pre-filled with various items can be dropped off at the Pickering Farmer’s Market today from 9am to 2pm.  Additional drop off locations are available at the George Ashe Community Centre and East Shore Community Centre in Pickering during regular business hours. The purses will be distributed to numerous social organizations who support women experiencing homelessness or abuse to provide the necessary items they need to support them through their transition.   • Welcome Centre Immigrant Services – Pickering provides a welcoming and inclusive place for newcomers, immigrants and refugees to find the services they need in one convenient location. They are here to help newcomers get the right information when they need it and find other programs and services available through a network of community partners throughout the Region of Durham.  Please check out there website.

Fantastic Face & Body Art, Mr. BaZinga's Balloon Twisting - have been providing Balloon Twisting, Face Painting, Airbrush Face Painting and Tattoos to Entertain the public for the past 12 years. The Airbrush make up is hypoallergenic, water proof and sweat proof so it's great in any weather, rain or shine, and perfect for pool parties. July 12 - Pickering Animal Services Day

Pickering Animal Services will be at the market to answer your animal related questions. Play some games, bring your dog and try out our photo booth and if weather permits they hope to bring an animal or two!

August 2 - Pickering Fire Services Day

Do you know what to do in a Fire Emergency? Pickering Fire Services will be at the Farmers' Market to educate the public and answer any questions. Please contact Pickering Fire Services at 905.839. 9968 or fire@pickering.ca for further information or questions.

August 9 - Pickering Public Library Day

Come visit the Pickering Public Library booth at the Farmer’s Market! They will have lots of fun activities for children such as: a scavenger hunt, craft and make your buttons with our button maker!

*Storytime will be at 10: 00 am

August 16 - Grain Discovery Day

The Grain Discovery Zone is coming to the Pickering City Centre Farmers' Market. The Grain Discovery Zone trailer will be travelling down from Guelph with their Ambassador, Isabella Mangiapane to educate the public about grain farming! The trailer is very interactive and has a sensory box filled with corn kernels and toys for kids to play in! Come and check out the trailer, pick up some free goodies, enter in to win a free prize pack from the Grain Farmers of Ontario, and educate yourself about an important initiative in the agriculture industry!
