Program Cancellations and Service Disruptions

Please be advised that the indoor tennis courts at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation 
Complex will be closed from Monday, October 19, 2026 until Friday, November 6, 2026, for concrete 
crack and surfacing repairs. 

Temporary road and west sidewalk closure of Glenanna Road from Pickering Parkway to the south limit of The Esplanade South. Both vehicle and pedestrian detours have been provided, and all applicable signage will be posted.

Please be advised that the playground at Pinegrove Park will be temporarily closed for its reconstruction, including new senior playground equipment, replacement of the existing engineered wood fibre safety surfacing, and accessible ramps into both playground areas.

Please be advised that the playground at Glengrove Park will be temporarily closed for its reconstruction, including new playground equipment and replacement of the existing engineered wood fibre safety surfacing.

Please be advised that the playground at Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park will be temporarily closed for its reconstruction, including new playground equipment with rubberized safety surfacing, and new swing equipment with new engineered wood fibre safety surfacing.

8th Concession Road will be closed between Sideline 2 and Sideline 6 for the replacement of a cross 
culvert. To facilitate this work, a full road closure will be required daily from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. 
Emergency Services and property owners from 3000 8th Concession Road to 3050 8th Concession 
Road will have access from Balsam Road.   

Temporary Rotating Sidewalk Closure - East Side and West Side of Liverpool Road, between Pickering Parkway and Bayly Street.

The City of Pickering’s contractor, Four Seasons Site Development Ltd. (Quotation No. Q2026-32), will be undertaking asphalt resurfacing work on Third Concession Road from Altona Road to Rosebank Road starting October 17, 2026. Anticipated completion date is November 17, 2026.
