Photo Gallery: Pickering Museum Village Artifact Gallery will appear here on the public site.

We have acquired most of our artifact collection through the generosity of the public. Potential artifact donations must meet specific criteria before being housed at the Pickering Museum Village.

Please make an appointment with us before bringing items to the museum village. Artifact donations are permanent and once approved, PMV assumes the responsibility to store, preserve, conserve, and exhibit the artifact, as it meets the needs, mandate, and policies of the museum.

The Pickering Museum Village maintains two collections, our Core Artifact Collection and our Education Collection. Find out more about these collections and the donation process.

Please contact our Conservator Ellen Tayles-Armstrong to make an appointment to discuss your potential artifact donation.

PMV is currently seeking objects, photographs and ephemera relating to Pickering Township in the following areas:

  • Business
  • Sports & Leisure
  • Arts & Culture
  • Service Organizations
  • Emergency Services (Fire, Police, Ambulance)
  • World War 1 and 2
  • Founding Families
  • Science & Technology

Monetary Donations

PMV gratefully accepts financial support from generous donors. Donations assist the museum village to fulfill its mandate to preserve, conserve, interpret, and share community memories, stories, and material and heritage culture. Please make cheques payable to the City of Pickering, and mail or deliver to the PMV so that your donation can be applied directly to PMV, or contact us for more information.

Bequeath a Legacy

A bequest to PMV in a will enables you to leave behind tangible support of heritage, and ensures that the museum village will benefit directly from your generosity.
