The City offers camp opportunities for children throughout the year including PA Days, Winter Holidays, March Break, and Summer.
Our Staff
All Camp Staff are certified in Standard First Aid & CPR-C, completed courses in the “High Five” Principles of Healthy Child Development, have satisfactory vulnerable sector screening (Police Check), and have received additional Health & Safety training related to COVID 19.
General Camp & Registration Information
- Pack a lunch, snack, and drinks daily. All camps are peanut-free.
- Campers must be minimum age at start of camp.
- City programs, events, and services will operate in compliance with current Provincial Guidelines as such are subject to change.

Mini Summer Camp Samplers (3 - 4 yrs) |
Get ready for big time fun at this 2 day, half day camp introduction. Little campers will take part in a variety of creative and engaging activities to help build skills and friendships. We will be enjoying both indoor and outdoor activities. |
Mini Pidaca (3 - 5 yrs) |
Each day is a brand new activity that gets your little camper up and moving, while participating in arts, crafts, and dance activities. Weekly themes make each camp session a new experience. |
Adventure Camp (5 - 12 yrs) |
For campers who seek a day filled with exploration and discovery! Crafts, outdoor games, camping skills, archery, and creek walks are part of the fun. Special themes and fresh activities ensure each week is a new adventure. |
Arts Camp (5 - 12 yrs) |
Offering campers a wide variety of crafts, games and activities designed to showcase creativity and discover inspiration. We will enjoy creating nature crafts and paintings, and enjoy swimming and nature hikes, with time for some drama and dance classes too. Special theme days bring a fresh set of activities each session. |
Claymation Camp (7 - 12 yrs) |
Claymation camp is the chance to see your design come to life! With back drops and layouts, your clay figures will act out your story. You will learn how to make, design and create your film, set and storyboard! With the help of a professional artist you can then keep your video as a cherished keepsake. A fun and exciting camp awaits artists and filmmakers of all abilities. |
Breakdance Camp (6 - 9 yrs) |
Show off what you've got in this high energy camp! No matter what level of breakdance skill - campers will learn new moves and techniques that will be sure to impress. With tons of games and activities packed into one week, your camper will be excited to keep coming back. See who's got what it takes, in our end of session dance battle! |
Dance Camp (5 - 12 yrs) |
Bollywood, Line Dance, Folk Dance, Hip-hop and more! Campers will discover music and dance styles from around the globe in this specialized camp! |
Drama Camp (5 - 12 yrs) |
It's your time to shine! Campers will enjoy learning, and working on their acting, dancing and singing skills while preparing for the big show at the end of the week. Each session is a new show. |
Eco Adventure Camp (6 - 12 yrs) |
Every day is a new adventure as we discover, learn, and experience the nature around us! Our environmental journey will lead us down many exciting paths as we focus on a different area of interest each week. |
NEW! Friends & Fun Neighbourhood Camp (4 - 12 yrs) |
Campers will enjoy a fun filled week full of all their favourite camp activities including sports, games, dance, arts and crafts, water games and more! This camp takes place at Highbush Public School. |
Jr. Firefighter Camp (8 - 12 yrs) |
Campers will spend the week learning what it takes to be a firefighter! They will learn the basics of fire cause and prevention, fire safety, firefighting equipment and its usage and the importance of teamwork! This week finishes with a Jr. Firefighter Graduation Ceremony. |
Specialty Arts Camp (7 - 12 yrs) |
Campers will have the opportunity to explore clay while building and creating their own unique pottery projects. They will also learn how to "paint like a pro", and paint their own masterpieces to hang at home. This camp program includes daily physical activity, swimming, and a variety of active games. |
Sports Camp (5 - 12 yrs) |
For the camper who loves being indoors and out, and being active in a wide variety of sports! Campers will be asked each session what their favourite sports are and the week will be geared around their choices. Campers will learn new games and develop new skills every session. Special themes (like Gladiator Day, Olympic Week, Super Star Day, and many others) keep the whole summer new and exciting. |
STEM Camp (9 - 12 yrs) |
Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on activities and projects to grow their skills in science, technology, engineering and math. A whole week of exciting discovery, learning and fun! |
Summer Fun All-in-one Camp Intro and Finale (5 - 12 yrs) |
School is out and its time to enjoy summer! Enjoy a fun filled day of all of your favourite camp activities including swimming, fun in the sun, dance, sports and arts and crafts! |
Teen Strength Training Camp (13 - 17 yrs) |
Designed for teens looking to learn more about being physically fit; this camp includes an active as well an educative class component with elements of proper gym etiquette, training principles and proper equipment use. Campers will learn how to enhance their muscular endurance, aerobic capacity, agility, flexibility, and other performance measures. Safe and effective techniques for working out will be taught by trained fitness professionals and participants will gain an understanding of the basic exercise science behind their bodies' actions. In addition to workout time on cardio equipment, various weight machines and free weights, campers will also get the opportunity to participate in other activities such as swimming, yoga, cycling and more. Upon completion, campers are eligible to take the Operation Fit test- a successful pass means you are ready to purchase your youth health membership at the CHD Recreation Complex. |
Youth Exceptionalities Camp (13 - 19 yrs) |
This camp is designed for youth with disabilities, looking for an active, engaging, fun, and social summer experience. Join us for a fun filled week of recreational, social, and physical activity! Please note: Campers must be able to manage changing and toileting independently, unless attending camp with a personal support staff. |
Summer Extend-a-camp |
This program is offered before and after our full-day camps for those parents and guardians that need a little more time each day. We keep it interesting for campers with new activities, games, and crafts than offered in the day camp programs. Morning hours are 7:00 am to 9:00 am Note: before and after care offered for select camps only. Late pick-up fee ($20.00) applied to any child picked up after 6:00pm daily. |

Clothing All campers are advised to wear comfortable clothing, and bring indoor running shoes. Campers are asked not to bring valuables to camp, as they will be responsible for their own belongings. Campers intending to swim should bring a towel Absenteeism If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent from camp, please either send a note stating the camper's name and the day that they will be away or, phone the Camp Office at 905.420.4660 ext 3246. Swimming Campers aged 8-10 must demonstrate the ability to pass a swim test to the lifeguard’s satisfaction to swim in the large pool without a life jacket. The swim test consists of a 10 metre swim plus 30 seconds of treading water. Lunches Food items with peanuts or peanut products are not permitted at camp. Any food items that are suspected to contain traces of peanuts will not be allowed at camp. Top Four Questions Parents Ask?

PA Day Camps
PA Day: Paint & Play (5 - 12 yrs) |
Campers will spend the day exploring clay, learning hand building, and painting a masterpiece to take home. Extended hours are available for before and after camp care. Camp takes place at CHD Rec Complex - Pottery Studio Upcoming Dates: November 17 |
