The City offers camp opportunities for children throughout the year including PA Days, Winter Holidays, March Break, and Summer.
Our Staff
All Camp Staff are certified in Standard First Aid & CPR-C, completed courses in the “High Five” Principles of Healthy Child Development, have satisfactory vulnerable sector screening (Police Check), and have received additional Health & Safety training related to COVID 19.
General Camp & Registration Information
- Pack a lunch, snack, and drinks daily. All camps are peanut-free.
- Campers must be minimum age at start of camp.
- City programs, events, and services will operate in compliance with current Provincial Guidelines as such are subject to change.
PA Day Camps
Paint & Play PA Day 5 - 12 yrs |
Campers will spend the day exploring clay, learning hand building, and painting a masterpiece to take home. Extended hours are available for before and after camp care. Friday, November 18 Regular Camp hours are 9:00 am - 3:15 pm. Camp takes place at CHD Rec Complex - Art Studio |

Mini Sampler Camps 4 yrs |
These 2 day, half day camps are a ton of fun for your little one, and a great prelude to all day camp programs. |
Mini Pidaca 4 - 5 yrs |
Each week is a is a brand new theme to get little campers excited and participating in arts, crafts, dance, and more. Location and activities are subject to change. |
Adventure Camp 5 - 12 yrs |
For campers who love the outdoors and seek a day filled with interest and discovery! Activities include crafts, outdoor games, camping skills, and more! Special themes bring a fresh set of activities to each session. |
Arts Camp 5 - 12 yrs |
This camp offers a wide variety of crafts, games and activities designed to showcase your child’s creativity. Special themes bring a fresh set of activities to each session. |
Breakdance Camp 6 - 10 yrs |
Campers will "show off what they got" in this high energy dance camp! No matter what level of experience, everyone will learn new moves and techniques that will be sure to impress. Tons of games and activities will keep campers excited to come back for more. We see who's got what it takes, in our end of session dance battle! Available for select weeks. |
Dance Camp 5 - 12 yrs |
Campers will enjoy a week of fun and creativity while exploring the magical world of dance. Available for select weeks. |
Drama Camp 5 - 12 yrs |
Summer fun on stage! Campers will learn singing, dancing, and acting skills while exploring a different theme each week. Campers will also craft and create their own props to incorporate into a short end of week performance. Available for select weeks. |
Eco-Adventure Camp 6 - 12 yrs |
Every day is a new adventure as we discover, learn, and experience the nature around us! Our environmental journey will lead us down many exciting paths as we focus on a different area of interest each week. |
Jr. Firefighter Camp 8 - 12 yrs |
See what it takes to be a firefighter! Campers will learn the basics of fire cause and prevention, fire safety, firefighting equipment and its usage, and the importance of teamwork! The week will conclude with a Jr. Firefighter Graduation Ceremony. |
Museum Camp 5 - 12 yrs |
No computer - just outdoor, unplugged fun! Campers build friendships, skills and knowledge while embarking on quests, solving puzzles, exploring the outdoors, and creating objects of their wildest imagination! |
Specialty Arts Camp 7 - 12 yrs |
Campers will have the opportunity to explore clay, while building and creating their own unique projects. They will also learn how to "paint like a pro", creating their own masterpieces to hang at home. This camp will also include some daily physical activity, and a variety of active games. |
Sports Camp 5 - 12 yrs |
For the camper who loves being indoors and out, and being active in a wide variety of sports! Each session campers will be asked what their favourite sports are, and the week will be geared around their choices. Sports will include basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, tennis, squash, and more! Campers will learn the rules and develop new skills every session. Special themes like Olympic Week will keep the whole summer new and exciting. |
Youth Exceptionalities Camp 13 - 19 yrs |
This camp is designed for youth with disabilities, looking for an active, engaging, and social summer experience. Campers can expect a week of recreational fun participating in various arts, sports, fitness, games, and other interactive activities. Please note: Campers must be able to manage changing and toileting independently, unless attending camp with a personal support staff. |
Summer Extend-a-camp |
This program is offered before and after our full-day camps for those parents and guardians that need a little more time each day. We keep it interesting for campers with new activities, games, and crafts than offered in the day camp programs. Morning hours are 7:00 am to 9:00 am Note: before and after care offered for select camps only. Late pick-up fee ($20.00) applied to any child picked up after 6:00pm daily. |

Everything you need to know for an awesome time at camp!Clothing Absenteeism If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent from camp, please either send a note stating the camper's name and the day that they will be away or, phone the Camp Office at 905.420.4660 ext 3246. Swimming Lunches Food items with peanuts or peanut products are not permitted at camp. Any food items that are suspected to contain traces of peanuts will not be allowed at camp. Top Four Questions Parents Ask?What time does camp start and finish? - Camp starts at 9:00 am, ends at 3:15 pm. EAC is offered before and after these hours Will my child be with children their own age? - In the morning, camp groups are arranged by age. In the Who is looking after my child at camp? What if my child doesn’t want to swim at camp? |
