Petapolooza brings together pet owners and enthusiasts within our community. It gives our community the opportunity to meet industry professionals, rescue groups, and others in the pet industry.

On Saturday May 10th, Petapolooza kicks off the beginning of our yearlong events and has grown to be one of the City’s largest outdoor events. Last years Petapolooza Pet Festival saw a record breaking attendance of over 4,000 people and brought in over $40,000 ($13,077 in donations from the day of).

Petapolooza is Animal Services largest fundraiser with all proceeds going towards building Pickering a permanent animal shelter and/or for the day to day care of animals housed at the shelter, including unforeseen medical costs.

Admission

Admission is a suggested $5 donation per person, with free admission for seniors 55+, children under 12, and pets.

All proceeds going towards building Pickering a permanent animal shelter and/or for the day to day care of animals housed at the shelter, including unforeseen medical costs.

Along with entertainment and vendor booths, there are plenty of giveaways and activities for the whole family!

Event Lineup

You can expect to see around 4,000+ attendees, and over 80 exhibitors and rescue groups. There will be plenty of giveaways including pet bandanas, games, food samples, water stations for your pet, live entertainment for the whole family and more!

11: 00 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm	SuperDogs - Live action show for the whole family
12:00 pm	Pickering’s Pet Talent Show Calling all pets of every age and breed to showcase their unique talents. Whether your furry friend can do tricks, dance, or just look adorable, we want to see it! No experience necessary – just bring your pet and have fun! (at the Gazebo) Stop by the Who’s Walking Who booth by 11:45 am to sign up.
1:00 pm	Join Animal Services and the Pickering Public Library as highlight previous years authors and launch this years Tails of Hope Short Story Contest!
2:30 pm	Meet n’ Greet and Photos with Sparky the Fire Dog
All Day	Over 80 exhibitors and Rescue Groups, including: Stuffy Pet Hospital (Bring your favorite stuffed toy to the Sheridan Pet Hospital booth for a check-up) Pawtastik Prints (Sponsored by Pet Valu) Temporary Pet Colouring and Tattoos (Sponsored by Opaz) Durham Farm Connection Photo Booths Pet Caricatures Lure Course Food Trucks Games, Giveaways and so much more!
