Service Announcement - Notice of Temporary Road Closures Esplanade Park

The City of Pickering will be hosting the daytime Canada Day festivities on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in The Esplanade Park. In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable event, the City will be enacting temporary road closures in the area.

Purpose: Canada Day Celebration – The Esplanade Park

Duration: Tuesday, June 30, 2026 – 7:00 am to Wednesday, July 1, 2026 – 9:00 pm

The following closures will occur for the daytime Canada Day activities:

The Esplanade South – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the outbound driveway of the Pickering Civic Complex parking lot, Tuesday, June 30 at 7:00 am to Wednesday, July 1 at 9:00 pm

Valley Farm Road – will be closed from The Esplanade North to The Esplanade South/Diefenbaker Court, Wednesday, July 1 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Pickering Civic Complex Parking Lot (East Half) – will be closed, accessible parking only will be 
allowed during the event, Wednesday, July 1 at 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
